## Create your account [#create-your-account]

[Sign up at benchy.studio](https://www.benchy.studio/signup) with Google or an email address and password. The same account signs you in to Studio, Benchy Desktop and World.

During early access, sign-up is by invitation. An invitation to a workspace or a canvas lets you sign up straight away; otherwise sign-up takes you to [early access](https://www.benchy.studio/early-access) to join the list, and you can sign up once Benchy approves your address.

## Your home workspace [#home-workspace]

Signing up makes your **home workspace**, named after your first name. Start more, for example one per client, from the workspace row in the account menu. See [Workspaces](https://benchy.world/docs/workspaces).

## Start a project [#first-project]

Everything you make lives in a project. Choose **New project**, or open a folder in [Benchy Desktop](https://benchy.world/docs/desktop) to pair it with a project in the workspace Desktop is signed in to.

Drop in files of any kind; each keeps its versions. Then write a few lines in [BENCHY.md](https://benchy.world/docs/benchy-md) about what the project is for — Benchy and any other agent read it before they start.

## Ask Benchy [#first-chat]

Open a chat in the project and say what you want: “Plan a wall bracket for a 12 mm dowel”, or “Make three colour options of this logo”. Type `@` to point at a file or an Element, and `/` to run a skill.

Benchy asks before changing anything, and what it makes lands in the project's **Made by Benchy** folder. Your chat stays private until you share it.

## Bring people in [#bring-people]

The workspace owner invites teammates by email, as **Can edit** or **Can view**. Anyone who can edit a project, chat, canvas or doc can invite an outsider as a guest on that one thing. Your private chats, My files, private projects and memories stay yours. See [Members and guests](https://benchy.world/docs/members-and-guests) and [Editors](https://benchy.world/docs/credits-and-plans#editors).

## Bring your own agent [#bring-your-agent]

Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and other agents connect over MCP, each in one workspace you choose and never with more access than you have. See [Connect your agent](https://benchy.world/docs/connect-your-agent).

## Next steps [#next-steps]

- [How Benchy works](https://benchy.world/docs/how-benchy-works): the few rules behind everything.
- [Print planning](https://benchy.world/docs/print-planning): plan a print on a canvas, or tune one on your Mac.
- [Upload a model](https://benchy.world/docs/models-and-uploads): share or sell it on World.
