Common questions about benchy.world

Publishing, downloading, accounts, and how World works with your Benchy shop.

Who is benchy.world for?

CAD designers, digital artists, researchers, fabricators, and collectors who want one place to publish, discover, and download 3D work.

Can I publish my own models?

Yes. Upload CAD, realtime, VFX, scan, and fabrication files, add workflow details and images, and publish them to the community.

Do I need a separate account?

No. The same Benchy account works across benchy.world, benchy.studio, benchy.bio, and benchy.shop.

Is it free to download models?

Community and free listings can be browsed and downloaded on World. Paid listings check out on benchy.shop, which handles entitlements and buyer downloads.

Can I sell my models?

Connect a World listing to a benchy.shop product. Shop handles checkout, entitlements, and buyer downloads.

What do File checks passed and Needs attention mean?

World runs independent mesh validation as named policy checks — not a claim that every mesh property was inspected. File checks passed means those checks cleared; Needs attention means something in the package still needs a look.

Does benchy.world replace my shop?

No. benchy.world handles discovery and community downloads; benchy.shop handles storefronts, checkout, entitlements, and buyer libraries.
