Publish and sell on World
Prepare a model, choose rights and price, set up payouts, and manage purchases, acquired files, and saved models in World.
Your catalogue
Publish and sell 3D models and related assets in World. Your catalogue holds the models you create, including private work, public listings, and models that need attention. Search by name, filter publication status, and load more results. Each model has an Edit action for its authoring workspace and a Preview action for its model page.
Pricing and payout setup are part of World. You can sell the files already attached to your model without uploading another copy or creating a separate Shop product.
Prepare a model
- Choose Upload model, select your files, and follow their upload progress. Add the title, description, category, and artwork that help people understand the model.
- Declare the model’s provenance and include attribution or source information when required. Keep work private while you finish these details.
- Review the package and file checks. An incomplete upload or failed check needs to be resolved before the affected release can be published or sold.
Return through Edit in your catalogue to continue preparing a model. See Models & uploads for supported formats, package structure, and file-check recovery.
Rights and price
Choose whether to keep the model private, share it for free, or prepare a paid offer. Review the files and release included in the offer, its price and currency, and the license permissions shown to buyers. A paid offer does not automatically grant commercial use: the rights you select determine permitted use, printing, modification, and redistribution.
Payout setup
Open Payouts to start or resume Stripe onboarding. Complete the identity and payout information Stripe requests, then return to World to check the current status. If more information is needed, resume setup from the same page.
Returning from Stripe does not by itself mean your account is ready to sell. World checks the account’s payment and payout readiness before allowing paid sales. You can keep preparing your model while setup is incomplete. Buying a model never requires seller onboarding.
Review and publish
Review the model page, the included files, the license, and the price before publishing. World shows whether file checks, required details, or payout setup still need attention. Follow the specific recovery action, then review again. An uploaded file or a saved price is not by itself a published listing.
Use Preview from your catalogue to inspect the current model page. Private models remain visible to their creator; choosing Preview does not make them public.
Updates and unlisting
Edit the existing model when its details change or you have a new version of its files. Review the new release and any checks before offering it to buyers. Existing acquisitions keep the release and license they received; uploading a new version does not silently replace those terms or files.
Unlist an offer to stop new purchases. Unlisting is separate from a buyer’s acquired access: previously acquired packages remain in Library, subject to their license and access status. Use the controls and explanations in the editor when changing visibility or removing a model.
Buying and order recovery
A model page shows its gallery, available files and version, license, and any paid offer. Sign in with your Benchy account to buy, review the offer, and continue to checkout.
After checkout, World verifies the order before opening access. A return page or payment status in the browser address is not a receipt. If payment is still processing, follow the order status instead of starting another purchase. If checkout was cancelled or expired, use the recovery action shown for that order.
Find your purchases in Orders. Open an order to check its status and reach its acquired package when access is available.
Library and Saved
- Library contains acquired packages, their files, exact releases, licenses, and current access status.
- Saved contains models you bookmarked to return to later and follow creator updates. Saving a model does not buy or download it. You can remove a saved entry even if its listing is no longer available.
- Catalogue contains your own creations and their publishing controls.
